by Administrator 27. May 2009 03:57

A wrong way driver on Interstate 17 is responsible for a serious accident that took the life of the driver as well as another driver on the road.

The man was  driving on the wrong way of the road Monday night outside of Phoenix on the highway around 9:30 p.m.  The man was driving down the wrong way and at a high-rate of speed. The man crashed head on with an SUV that had a family.  The driver of this vehicle, and father to those in the car, was killed in the collision. Three individuals in the SUV were sent to a hospital to be treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

It was unsure why the man was driving down the wrong way of the road.  Two other vehicles were involved, and injuries were reported.
