Tucson Court Sentences Former Sheriff's Deputy for DUI

Following 4:00 a.m. accident involving his patrol car and a civilian vehicle, a former Pima County Sheriff's deputy was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 5 years' probation for extreme DUI and criminal damage. According to sources familiar with the case, the officer's blood alcohol content level was .251 at the time of the crash. Following the incident, the deputy's employment with the Pima County Sheriff's department was terminated.
