Several individuals have been injured in an accident that took place on a highway outside of Phoenix.  The accident involved a truck and a car and occurred late in the evening.  According to reports,  the driver of one vehicle lost control and stuck the other vehicle.  The other vehicle that was struck then hit a concrete median causing further damage to the vehicle and injuries to those inside the vehicle.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene shortly later and rushed the injured to the hospital.  In total,  three individuals were taken to a hospital for treatment.

An Arizona resident of Tucson has recently lost his life after a fatal freeway accident.

The accident occurred when the driver of a vehicle lost control and ran into a concrete barrier. Another vehicle then slammed into the car that was stopped in the middle of a freeway lane.  The driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene of the accident.  Authorities are currently searching for the driver.

A passenger in the vehicle was killed following the accident and was pronounced dead shortly later in a hospital. 

Several others were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
