Sweat Lodge Kills Two

A sweat lodge that was located in Arizona has made national news after several individuals inside the lodge were killed.  The recent incident involved a sweat lodge at retreat.  While taking part in a sweat lodge ceremony,  several individuals were pushed too hard in the process.  This resulted in two individuals being killed from heat related conditions and many others being injured. 

A total of 19 other people had to be treated for other issues including dehydration and kidney failure.

Three Vehicle Accident Leads to Serious Injury

One individual was seriously injured following an accident that took place on Arizona highway 74 near Lake Pleasant Parkway.  The accident resulted in one man facing life-threatening injuries. 

The accident occurred last week on Arizona 74.  According to reports,  an eastbound SUV struck a truck.  Another vehicle was then struck after the initial collision.  

The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.  No other injuries were reported in the accident.  The accident is currently under investigation and more information should be released at a later time.

Man Killed in Accident at Work

A man was killed in an accident at work after being crushed by a 1,000 pound roll of carpet. According to reports,  the man was killed shortly after arriving to work early in the morning at his business.  The man was attempting to move the large roll of carpet when it fell on him.  A co-worker found the man trapped under the carpet and had to use a forklift to free the man.  The man was not responsive after the carpet roll was moved and authorities were called,   however it was too late and the man was pronounced dead at the scene when authorities arrived. 

The man's death has been ruled an accident.

Obama Administration Pushing for Ban on Texting While Driving

An official with the Obama administration has recently announced efforts in order to curb and stop the practice of texting while driving.

The push has put new restrictions on vehicles making interstate travel.  The restrictions will not allow the drivers of these vehicles to text while driving. Administration officials hope that this new restriction will lead the way for other states to begin creating and enforcing restrictions against this dangerous and distracting practice.
